Mark LeVine is Assistant Professor of modern Middle Eastern history, culture and Islamic Studies at the Department of History of UC Irvine. His first book, "Overthrowing Goegraphy: Jaffa, Tel Aviv and the
Struggle for Palestine" is in press with the University of California. His new book on Middle Eastern responses to globalization
is forthcoming on Oneworld Press.
